I do have a radar, so not sure whether it would be worth it. So should I get it once I get CE on my captain? On the other hand. Buuuuut why grind the boat on a time locked campaign when you can. Instead of a direct purchase option.you now have to grind a mission chain, THEN you can buy the boat.
